Hey
I'm Purvika
I would like to introduce myself as a Landscape designer, a sustainability advocate and a researcher. I hold a Master of Science in Landscape Architecture from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands and a Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch) from University of Mumbai, India. I work at the intersection of architecture, landscape and urban design. Working on the principle of ‘affordances’, I believe any design intervention creates numerous potentials or possibilities. My designs aim to initiate a dialogue in the social system by understanding the hidden layers, resulting in these possibilities. This is achieved through minimal intervention, temporality, experiential qualities and an open ended approach.
I parallelly co-run a blog ‘The Vegan Wardrobe’ since 2016. It advocates towards cruelty-free, ethical and sustainable lifestyle choices. Sustainability and circularity play a key role in saving the planet. Both my designs and my daily habits are aligned to this ideology.
Over the years, practicing Yoga has helped me holistically evolve as a person. It has empowered me as an explorer to unearth and understand cities, its people and their experiences, without having fixed narratives.
Please feel free to write to me either for work or for any kind of a healthy discussion!
